Cheltenham Festivals is one of 990 organisations to receive National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) funding from Arts Council England for 2023-2025

As a charity, Cheltenham Festivals is responsible for raising funding every year to help fund the work we do.

We curate more than 20 year-round learning and participation and talent development programmes as well as four Festivals and more than 1,000 free and ticketed events to help create a world where everyone can explore and create culture.

And to help us achieve this, we rely on funding from national organisations such as the Arts Council England. We're delighted to have been successful in our application and have been invited to remain a National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) with funding from Arts Council England for another three years from April 2023 to 2026.

This makes up a small, but invaluable part of our core funding at Cheltenham Festivals and, along with our other income streams, will enable us to continue to work towards our vision of a world in which everyone can explore and create culture under increasingly challenging economic circumstances.

Cheltenham Festivals Co-CEO Ali Mawle said “We’re thrilled Arts Council England has recognised the value of our work through their regular NPO funding for the next three years. The competition for grants was exceptionally high so this is a testament to the quality and impact of our work. We will continue working in partnership to create a world where everyone can explore and create culture through our Festivals and year-round learning and participation and talent development programmes.”

We’d like to thank Arts Council England as well as our many partners, sponsors, funders, Patrons, Members and audiences for their continued support of Cheltenham Festivals.
